8 Kia Peng is a 50-storey high-end residential tower comprising of 448 units of SOHO and service apartments located on Changkat Kia Peng, one of the highest points in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.
The design of 8 Kia Peng takes advantage of the steep slope and optimizes the tight site of 1.05 acres, capturing the expansive vista of the surrounding skyline of Kuala Lumpur. The tower is positioned such that all unit has a view towards the twin tower of KLCC resting on a “ribboned” podium where a 50m infinity pool sets on a landscaped deck that also overlook the iconic twin tower, merging with the surrounding dense natural vegetation of the hill creating a biophilic oasis.
The base of the tower, the carpark podium is designed with the imagery of a “present” draped all round with playful ribbons. This fluid irregularity adds to the dynamism of the overall composition which extends to the tall slim tower above that is cladded also with similar bold 3-dimensional splayed dark bronze horizontal fins of varying sizes, exuding in
elegance as reflection of lights dances on the cladding throughout the day as the sun moves. At the top, the tower is crowned on both side by a light box, a distinctive shining beacon addition to the city skyline befitting its name as “King of the Hill”.
