The juxtaposition of two different uniting architecture stood out conspicuously as an entrance statement and a new prominent local landmark along the far plain of Northbank, Kuching, Ibraco’s newest township.
The headquarter consists of two jointed office towers of different height housing 2 sister companies of Ibraco Berhad (6 storey) and Lian Hua Seng Sdn Bhd (8 storey). A linear garden breaks the towers away from the podium carpark which is also greened by planters at its sides, softens the whole composition whilst allowing a green visual relieve.

Both companies wanting an identify of its own yet simultaneously needed to co-exist with one another.
The design of the “Ibraco” tower is linear with a composition of varying “rectangular” boxes protruding, colliding and dissecting into a plane of framed “mesh” screen creating an interesting juxtaposition of solid and deep shadowed voids which are pockets of green. The headquarters is currently in a greenfield, a vastly open area with no visual obstruction allowing the glass façade to mirror the sky, diffusing the building silhouette into the landscape with just a hint of the light screen that subtly reveal its existence.

As for Lian Hua Seng, the reverse contrasting concept was adopted on the external building envelope where the screen plays the dominant role with subtraction at selective areas to reveal the inner building skin, a more vertical approach as compare to Ibraco.
The differing linear and vertical treatment to both façades, however seems unified allowing harmony to the overall composition whilst allowing each tower to be distinct.
