Stonor Park comprises of two 20 storey towers consisting of 73 units Luxury Apartments with 2 levels of basement carpark and it is the first high-end condominium to be completed in the vicinity of KLCC.

The original brief calls for majority of the units in one tower to face the twin towers of KLCC but the design managed to exceed this by allowing all with view to KLCC but now in two (2) towers. Even though in a tight site of 0.92 acres, the site still does not seem small, relatively, even with the two (2) towers.

The design starts with the sense of arrival whereby the modern porte corchere with the ‘tongue’ canopy frames the view towards the twin tower of KLCC, an important landmark and intentional reference point in the design.

The two units per floor create a luxury in condominium living not experience before and thus not only allows maximum direct view for all the rooms within the unit but also allow a more efficient floor plate reducing the back of the house to a minimum. The reference within each unit is the KLCC twin tower whereby all the primary important areas in the unit such as the living and master bedroom faces the twin towers. Luxury is pushed further with the three (3) storey penthouses whereby each have a roof top garden below the rooftop canopy, allowing full and uninterrupted view towards the twin tower. The cabana unit at ground has its own single private lift lobby to its own basement carpark and the design created an unprecedented feel that is one in a landed property.

Stonor Park completed in contemporary modern architecture is exemplified by the multi-layering of planes, interplay of solid and void, transparency in the use of large glazing areas and the fully glazed balconies, lightness in the large huge brise-soleil canopy at roof top and loud in the vertical mustard yellow thus making this ‘twin’ tower iconic.

Lastly even though the twin towers seem relatively short as compared to the surrounding, they still managed to command the attention due to the modern architectural language which is refreshing to the local scene.
